BENEFITS

C ertain benefits are available, but if not known about by family they may not be applied for and therefore not received.

Social Security--There is a Social Security benefit of $255.00 paid to the surviving spouse when the person who has died has worked under a Social Security Number. This benefit must be applied for, the Funeral Director can assist you in making application for this benefit.

Veterans Benefits-- Veterans that are Honorably Discharged may be entitled to benefits-- These may include Burial Allowance, Plot Allowance, A Headstone or Goverment Marker, A Death Pension, and a Burial Flag. The benefits above require different qualifications.
