Carl H. Greenwood Sr., 82, of Farley, Iowa passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Ennoble Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dubuque, Iowa.

Private Visitation for Carl will be at the Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, Iowa. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Farley.

Carl was born November 6, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Vincent and Victoria (Heid) Greenwood Sr. He received his education from St. Joseph's School in Farley.   Carl was united in marriage on January 16, 1971 to Ruth M. Davis at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa.  Together the couple farmed in the rural Farley area for many years, until his retirement in 2021.

He was a member of St. Joseph's parish in Farley, Iowa.

Carl is survived by his wife Ruth Greenwood of Farley; three children, Dawn (Greg) Honts, and Terry (Heidi) Greenwood both of Farley, and Carl (Vicki) Greenwood Jr. of Epworth; seven grandchildren, Claudia (Christian) Garrett, John, and Luke Greenwood, Gregory and Carl Honts, Dylan and Tyler Johnson; one great grandchild, Audrey Garrett.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Vincent Greenwood
