Crystal I. Ahmann, 47, of Farley, IA, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at her home in Farley, Iowa.

A public Mass of Christian burial for Crystal will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley, IA, with Rev. Michael Schueller officiating. Services will be live streamed at 12 p.m. on the St. Elizabeth Pastorate Facebook page. Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Farley, IA. A Celebration of Life will follow the burial at the Milestone Event Center in Farley, Iowa.

Crystal was born August 25, 1973, in California, daughter of Gene and Kay (Bradley) Newton. She was a 1991 graduate of Western Dubuque High School in Epworth, Iowa. She met the love of her life Duane "Nutsy" Ahmann at the age of 16, and they were united in marriage on September 30, 1995 at St. Patrick's in Epworth, Iowa. Crystal was employed at Mi-T-M Corporation in Peosta, Iowa, for 30 years.

Crystal was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and daughter. She truly enjoyed spending all her free time with her beautiful daughter Megan and attending all her numerous school activities, Colts Drum & Bugle Corps events, and Iowa Hawkeye Marching Band performances. Crystal was so proud of her husband's many talents in construction. She enjoyed helping him build and design their dream home and was looking forward to enjoying it together. She was also especially proud of her daughter Megan for being accepted into the graduate program at the University of Iowa's College of Public Health. Crystal loved spending countless hours with her mother Kay, especially traveling with her to antique & collectable shops and watching the Denver Broncos together as a family; if they couldn't be together, you can be sure they were on the phone chatting the day away. Despite her fear of flying, Crystal cherished times spent traveling the country and the world with her family and friends. She also highly enjoyed spending time shopping the latest sale, going out to eat, watching movies at the theater, and taking her daily walks, especially with friends. Crystal had a renowned sweet tooth and always planned her day around her next treat!

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 25 years, Duane "Nutsy" Ahmann of Farley; one daughter, Megan (Special Friend, Dalton Miller) Ahmann of Farley; her parents, Gene and Kay (Bradley) Newton of Ozark, MO; Two brothers, Christopher Strawmier, and Craig (Stephanie) Strawmier both of California; step-mother, Donna Martin Strawmier of California; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis "George" Ahmann of Farley, David (Shawn Ching) Ahmann of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dianne (Fritz Robert) Thimote of Dubuque, Daniel "Fritz" (Jennifer) Ahmann of Farley, and Donald (Lindsay) Ahmann of Farley; Godmother, Peggy Kruse of Farley, IA; Aunts and Uncles, Stan (Vickey) Bradley of Denver, CO, Cindy (Robert) Landingham of Sacramento, CA, Marty (Pam) Bradley of North Liberty, Renee (& friend, Sam) Bradley of Cascade, Michael (Bridget) Bradley of Farley, Carlyn (Sandra) Knapp of Marion, and Wells Knapp of Denver, CO; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Jim and Shirley Ahmann; maternal grandparents, Don and Dolores Bradley; paternal grandparents, Grady and Virginia Newton; godfather, Jim "Hooker" Kruse.

A Crystal I. Ahmann memorial fund has been established for the future education of her daughter, Megan, who has been on the Dean's list for three years and is now continuing for her Master's Degree.
