Daniel J. Till, 79, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of rural Epworth, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Lincoln Heart Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Friends and relatives of Daniel may call from 3 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, Iowa, where a wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Friends may also call after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley, Iowa, with Rev. Michael Schueller Presiding. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Farley, Iowa.
He was born May 20, 1938 in Cascade, Iowa, son of Joseph J. and Lucille L. (Kelchen) Till. A graduate of St. Joseph High School Farley, IA, and Loras College. He received his medical degree from the University Of Iowa. He served as a physician in Vietnam. Dan also served as a pathologist in Lincoln Nebraska for many years. He was Chief Of Staff at Lincoln General Hospital from 1882-1984. Dan was an avid duplicate bridge player who attained the distinguished level of Platinum Life Master. He was also a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.
He is survived by Darla Weisbek (Significant other) and family of Lincoln, Nebraska; five siblings, Doris (Bill) McEvoy of Ryan, Iowa, Lloyd (Marlene) Till of Farley, Iowa, Jerry (Pat) Till of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Don (Sherry) Till of Dubuque, Iowa, Dale (Gini) Till of Dubuque, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
