Darlene M. Finn, 85, of Cascade passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Accura Health in Cascade, Iowa.

Visitation for Darlene will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.,  at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa, where a Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, with Rev. Mark Osterhaus presiding.  Burial will be held in St. Peter's Cemetery in Temple Hill, Iowa.  The Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.

Darlene was born on March 5, 1939, in Temple Hill, Iowa, daughter of Michael and Lucille (Supple) Donahue. She received her education in the Onslow schools.  On July 20, 1957, she was united in marriage to Vincent Finn at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Temple Hill, Iowa.  Vincent preceded her in death in 1966.

She was a very faith filled person.  Her life revolved around her family and extended family.

She was a member of the St. Matthias Parish in Cascade, Iowa.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Renee Breitbach and, Lori Klocke both of Monticello, Pat Finn of Cascade; son-in-law, Cliff Takes of Anamosa; 12 grandchildren, Kara (Tony) Butterworth, Amy (Kyle) Kuehler, Brandon Breitbach, Chelsea Takes, Brittany Takes (Justin Tjaden) , Robbie Takes (Karsen Rowe), Shae Takes, Mandy (Logan) Hanken, Paige (John) Beranek, Toni (Tyler) McQuillen,  Danni (Derek) Shireman, and Buck Finn (Rachel Feeney); 21 great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Marie Finn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by a son, Steve "Buck" Finn in 1980; daughter, Chris Takes in 2009; a son-in-law, Ed Breitbach in 2021; two sisters, Alberta (Raymond) Kalinowski, and Agnes "Bobbi" (William) Callahan; one brother, Joe Donahue; two brothers-in-law,  Pat (Mary) Finn, and Gerald "Rusty" Finn; six sisters-in-law, Marguerite (Edward "Barney") Frasher, Sabina (Al) Dotterweich, Stella Finn, Verna (Wilfred) Kleitsch, Mabel (Claude) Fothergill, and Eleanor "Lollie" Finn.
