Darlene M. Oberfoell, 72, of Farley, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at Luther Manor of Dubuque, Iowa.

Friends and relatives of Darlene may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, Iowa, where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

A private family burial will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Sat. Joseph's Cemetery in Farley, Iowa.

She was born January 27, 1946 in Guttenberg, Iowa, daughter of Edward and Jean (McIntire) Dyer. She received her education in the Guttenberg schools.  On November 20, 1965 she was united in marriage to Joseph C. Oberfoell at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on September 7, 2009.

She enjoyed putting puzzles together, gardening, canning, her stamp collection and playing with her dog, Teddy.

She is survived by four children, Clarence, Anna, Rita, and Marie Oberfoell; a sister, Frances Weber of Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Oberfoell and Mary Ann Bishop; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Teddy.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dave Dyer.

Memorials for Darlene may be given to Hospice of Dubuque.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ryan Stille, his nurses, the staff of Luther Manor, and Hospice of Dubuque, especially, Sarah, Jeanette, Amy and Amy.
