Obituary

Donald Harold Riesselman, age 67 of Citrus Springs, Florida, formally a long-time resident of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Friday December 13th, 2024, with his loving wife beside him.  Visitation will be held on April 4th from 3-7 at Reiff Funeral Home in Farley Iowa.  The burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Farley Iowa on April 5th at 10:00am.

Donald was born on December 1, 1957, in Dubuque, Iowa, a son to Harold Riesselman and Darlene Riesselman (Boulting).  He married Paula Clouse on March 20, 1981.  Their daughter Tara Nicole Riesselman was born on April 4, 1982.  Donald was remarried on September 20, 2003, to Tina Read, and they enjoyed 21 years before his passing.

Donald worked for 30+ years at Orkin primarily in Dubuque but also in Davenport before his retirement in August of 2021.  Donald was known for his larger-than-life personality, his stubborn bullheadedness, and his extensive knowledge of old westerns.  He loved John Wayne and Humphrey Bogart.  One of his favorite Christmas movies was "It's a Wonderful Life" and he loved watching the movie "Wizard of Oz" with his daughter Tara.  Donald enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears and the Cubs as well as the Iowa Hawkeyes.  As a Dubuque native, Donald also had a love of euchre and never passed up to opportunity to play with family or friends.  In his younger years, Donald was a regular league bowler at Imperial Lanes and even had two 700 series games during his bowling career.  His laugh will forever be remembered by family and friends.

Those left behind to cherish Donald's memory include:

His wife Tina Riesselman.

His siblings, Jeff (Barb) Riesselman and Kristy (Jason) Berry.

His brother-in-law Tim (Barb) Read, His sisters-in-laws Kimberly (Chris) Carroll and Stacey Bochart.

Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Along with numerous extended family and friends.

Donald was proceeded in death by his parents: Harold Riesselman and Darlene Wieseler.  Stepfather, Kenneth Wieseler Sr.  His sister, Sharon Riesselman, and his daughter Tara Riesselman.

Donald's family would like to thank the kind and thoughtful ICU doctors and nurses at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness Florida.
