Donald Walter Sroka, 72, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Epworth, Iowa passed away, Friday, August 6, 2021, at his home in Dubuque, Iowa.

Graveside Services for Don will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Highview Cemetery in Epworth, Iowa with Pastor Mike Jones presiding and full military honors afforded by the Dubuque Marine Corp. League.  The Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.

Don was born March 16, 1949, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Bert and Lila (Story) Sroka.  He was a graduate of Western Dubuque High School in Epworth, IA.  Don was a Veteran having served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War 1969 -1970.  He worked at John Deere Dubuque Works until his retirement in 2002.

Don is survived by his Best Friend, Denise Sroka of Dubuque, IA; four children, Chad (Lisa) Sroka of Iowa City, IA, Jeremy (Libby) Sroka of Polk City, IA, Dawn Sroka (Fiancé, Greg Seagren) of Austin, TX Jace Sroka of York, SC; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Fiancé, Noah Dean), Kelsey, Ben, Brantley, and Olivia Sroka; one brother, Chuck (Colleen) Sroka of Dubuque, IA; one brother-in-law, Dave Miller of Bettendorf, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Carol Ann Miller.
