Helen M. Moran, 87, of Cascade, Iowa passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade, Iowa, surrounded by her family.

Friends and relatives of Helen may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa, where a wake service will be held at 3:30.

Services for Helen will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa with Rev. Douglas Loecke Presiding. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Cascade, Iowa.

She was born November 13, 1931 in Garryowen, Iowa, daughter of Nicholas and Clara (Peiffer) Rollinger. On October 5, 1954 she was united in marriage to Patrick C. Moran at  St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on May 5, 2011.  She was employed at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade, Iowa from the day the facility opened until her retirement in 1998.

She was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade.

She is survived by six children, Patricia C. Moran of Allen, TX, Sharon (Larry) Spoerl of Sherrill, IA, Rose Moran of Clarence, IA, Bryant (Lillian) Moran of San Antonio, TX, Mary (Todd) Hosch and Steve Moran both of Cascade, IA; 10 grandchildren, Todd (Melissa) Spoerl, Jenni (Brian) Drew, Tami (Wade) LeClere, Megan (Marty) Staner, Marissa (Richard) Decker, Amanda Hall, Mikayla Hosch, Scott Moran, Jamie Kremer and Samantha Kremer; 9 great grand children; one sister, Monica Hosch of Cascade, IA; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Florence Moran of West Des Moines, IA; and a brother-in-law, Larry Hutchins of St. Louis, MO.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law, Elmer and Evelyn Moran; four brothers, Clarence (Mary) Rollinger, Raphael (Mary) Rollinger, Eldred (Shirley) Rollinger and Earl Rollinger; four sisters, Mary (Cyril) Staner, Bernice (Joe) Smith, Geraldine (Howard) Kerper, Rita (John) Wagner; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Hutchins; and a brother-in–law, Nick Hosch.
