James H. Hosch, 84, of 506 6th Ave NW, Cascade, Iowa and formerly of Guttenberg, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Unity Point Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.
There will be no public visitation or services. The Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
He was born August 16, 1931 in Cascade, Iowa, son of Andrew and Olivia (Klinkner) Hosch. He received his education at the former St. Mary's school in Cascade. He is an Air Force Veteran, having served from 1951 to 1955. He was a rural mail carrier until his retirement in 1986.
He was a member of the Cascade American Legion Post #528 and the Eagle's Club.
He is survived by one son, James J. Hosch of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Turner and Lindsey Nichole Hosch; one brother, Robert (Marion) Hosch of Cascade, IA; and one sister, Sr. Jane Hosch of Dubuque, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pauline (Mel) Green and Mary Alma Hosch; and two brothers, Edward Hosch and Charles Hosch.
