Jeff M. "Smiley" Kluesner, 61, of Epworth, Iowa, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at his home in Epworth, Iowa.

Visitation for Jeff will be held from 2 to 7 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, Iowa, where a wake service will be held at 1:30 p.m.  Visitation will also be held after Noon at the funeral home on Monday.

Mass of Christian Burial for Jeff will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2023, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley, Iowa with Rev. Michael Schueller presiding. Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Epworth, Iowa.

Jeff was born October 31, 1961, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Donald and Lois (Horsfield) Kluesner. He was a 1980 graduate of Western Dubuque High School in Epworth, Iowa.  On October 5, 1985, he was united in marriage to Rhonda Kramer at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Epworth, Iowa.   He drove for Flynn Ready Mix for 25 plus years and then Simon's Trucking in Farley, where he took an early retirement.

Jeff followed in his father footsteps when it came to mechanic's, he was known to be able to fix anything and to take care of his children's cars and work on tractors.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming with his buddies.  Jeff truly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Epworth, Iowa.

Those left to cherish Jeff's memory are his wife, Rhonda Kluesner of Epworth; three children, Allison (Patrick) Hicks of Dyersville, Garrett Kluesner of Epworth, and Anna (Dillon) Marquez of Denver, CO; three grandchildren, Oliver, Lincoln, and Amelia Hicks; one brother, Steve "Bomber" (Karen) Kluesner of Farley; one sister, Ann (Todd) Knepper of Worthington; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Janet Kramer of Epworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Paula (Jeff) Bata of Orono, MN, Michelle (Special Friend, Jim Seymour) Clark of Epworth, and Cheryl Kramer of Epworth; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

The Kluesner family would like to give a special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Hospice of Dubuque, University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, ALS Association, and No Place Like Home especially, Jennifer Carlin.

A Jeff "Smiley" Kluesner memorial fund has been established.
