Obituary

Jennifer L Pauley, 50, of Valrico, Florida, passed away on Thursday, July 1st, 2021 at her home in Florida.

A Catholic service for Jennifer will be held at noon,  Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Nativity Catholic Church, at the Chapel in Brandon,  Florida. Farther Reed Presiding.  Graceside services will be held at Highview Cemetery in Epworth, Iowa at 1 p.m. on Friday July 9th.

She was born January 27, 1971 in Dubuque, Iowa, Daughter of Tom Reddin and Nancy Goerdt.  She is a 1989 graduate of Western Dubuque High School in Epworth and the Carpi Cosmetology College in 1991. She was united in marriage to Ronald Micheal Pauley on February 11, 1995 in Epworth Iowa. She moved to Alaska  in 1991 with her husband where she worked as a hairstylist for thirteen years. She was loved by all her clients and coworkers. Jennifer at this time also attended classes at University of Anchorage. She had her only daughter Alley Pauley on October 6, 2000 in Anchorage. In June of 2004, Jennifer moved to Florida with her husband and daughter, and retired from her hairstyling career. She became an assistant teacher for Pre-K students at Nativity Catholic School for a couple years, and later moved into a substitute teaching position. Jennifer spent the last several years volunteering at Nativity Catholic School, and later at the Academy of the Holy Names where her daughter attended highschool in Tampa, Florida.

Jennifer was a very loving mother and wife. Her favorite thing was to spend time with her family. She enjoyed the beach, sunsets, and car rides with music. She was an active member of Nativity Catholic Parish. Jennifer also spent twelve years as a Girl Scout Troop Leader with a group of 20 girls, and continued volunteer work with the Girl Scouts for years after.

She is survived by one daughter, Alley Pauley, her Husband Ron Pauley,  her parents, Tom (Mary) Reddin of  Cedar Rapids  and Nancy Goerdt of Earlville, IA; Four siblings, Jeff(Ann) Reddin, Jeremy Reddin, Christopher Goerdt, and Crystal Reddin Powers (Justin) , and twelve nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by Step Father, Dave Goerdt
