Jesus Nunez-Valdez, 42, of Cascade, Iowa and formerly of Mexico passed away on Thursday, April, 28, 2022 at Mercy One Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa.

Visitation for Jesus will be held from 11:00 a.m. until  time of services at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa with Pastor Juan Lobo presiding.  Burial will be held in the Cascade Community Cemetery.

Jesus was born June 17, 1979 in El Barrill, S.L.P.,  Mexico, son of Julio Nunez and Virginia Valdez.  He received his education at Ignacio Zaragoza.  On July 25, 1998 he was united in marriage to Adriana Barrios in El Barril, S.L.P. .  He was employed as a power washer with a local company.

Jesus enjoyed going on walks and had a passion for grilling.

Jesus was a member of the Mision Cristiana Elim Parish.

He is survived by his wife, Adriana Barrios; three children, Ana Nunez of Waterloo, IA, Angel Nunez of Cedar Rapids, IA and Jesus Nunez of Cascade, IA; his mother Virginia Valdez and his nine siblings, Isabel Cristina Nunez-Valdez, Adelina Nunez-Valdez, Maria Elena Nunez-Valdez, Jose Angel Nunez-Valdez, Julian Nunez-Valdez, Rogelio Nunez-Valdez all of El Barril, S.L.P., Mexico, Adriana Gonzalez of Ankeny, IA, Elida Vega of Ankeny, IA, and Pamela Nunez of Mount Pleasant, IA.

He is preceded in death by his father, Julio Nunez; and a sister, San Juana Nunez-Valdez.
