John A. Perrenoud, 87, of Farley, Iowa, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Accura Health in Cascade, Iowa, surrounded by his family.

Visitation for John will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, Iowa where services for John will be held at 2:30 p.m., with Deacon Joseph Schockemoehl, A Masonic Service will be held at 4 p.m.  Burial will be held at a later date in Graceland Cemetery in Creston, Iowa.  Military honors will be afforded by the Farley American Legion Post #656.

He was born July 9, 1936, in Winfield, Iowa, son of Fred and Virginia (Hannah) Perrenoud. He received his education Winfield area schools and Iowa State University.   On December 23, 1960, he was united in marriage to Claudia Mobly in Creston, Iowa.  She preceded him in death on November 18, 1996.

John was employed at the John Deere Dubuque works until his retirement in 1992.  He was on the Western Dubuque School Board, an active member of the Masonic Temple and a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #70 of Epworth.  He also served in the US Marine Corp Reserves.

He is survived by one son, Steve Perrenoud of Farley, IA; one daughter, Lisa (Marcus) Ramirez of Magnolia, TX; two grandchildren, Cole (Morgan) Perrenoud of Cascade, IA, and Casey Perrenoud (& friend, Ellie Timmerman) of Farley, IA; And a brother-in-law, Harlen Carpenter of Placeville, CA.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Nicole "Niki" Perrenoud; and two sisters, Betty (Norm) Bourn, and Pat (Matt)Cox.
