Kathleen A. "Kathi" Puccio, 72, of Farley, Iowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at MercyOne Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa.
Per Kathi's request there will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be done at a later date.
Kathi was born November 23, 1953, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Kenneth and Irene (Sommers) Elliott. She received her education in the former St. Joseph's school and is a 1972 graduate of Western Dubuque High School. She was united in marriage to Anthony Puccio at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2024.
She received her EMT certification at NICC, she was a volunteer EMT for the Farley Ambulance for over 18 years. She was also a Hospice volunteer for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Farley American Legion Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids for Sunday dinners. She loved to carry on the family traditions of canning kraut and canning beef.
She is survived by five children, Amanda Puccio of Dyersville, Abigail Dossey of Cedar Rapids, Kelly Puccio of Dubuque, Kara Puccio and Shane (Chelsea Burns) Puccio both of Farley; twelve grandchildren, Gage (Darien), Hailey, Will, Skylar, Kennedy, Maggie, Madison, Layla, Isaiah, Jameson, MaKenna, Alina, and Declan; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Steve Elliott of Arizona and Mark "Smokey" (Rhonda) Wernimont of Dubuque, IA; two brother-in-law, Charles Puccio of Epworth, and Rick Goerdt of New Vienna, IA; two sister-in-law, Jane Puccio of Cascade and Mary Nell (John) Kertels of Farley; nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Daniel Dossey; two sisters, Susie Goerdt and Colleen Elliott; her father and mother-in-law. Charles and Betty (Carr) Puccio Gibbs; her step-father-in-law, Glen "Bud" Gibbs' two brothers-in-law, Sam Puccio and Walter Puccio; a sister-in-law, Donna Puccio.
The family would like to Thank the Farley Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services for all the care they extended to Kathi.
As Kathi would say "See ya soon, ya big Dumb A**!"
