Laura L. Beitzel, 52, of Epworth, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at 9:14 p.m. at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Friends and relatives of Laura may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, Iowa, where a wake service will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Services for Laura will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2016 At St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Epworth, Iowa with Rev. Michael Schueller Presiding. Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Epworth, Iowa.
Laura was born November 19, 1963 in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Wayne and Mary (Casey) Beitzel. She graduated from Western Dubuque High School in 1982. Laura enjoyed reading, gardening her flowers and playing volleyball.
She is a member of St. Patrick's Parish in Epworth, Iowa.
She is survived by her daughter, Morgan (fiancé Tyson Massey) Maiers of Epworth, IA; her parents, Wayne and Mary Beitzel of Epworth, IA, six siblings, Kevin (Sandy) Beitzel of Davenport, IA, Dennis (Tara) Beitzel of Epworth, IA, Dean (Traci) Beitzel of Robins, IA, Tammy (Ross) McDermott of Cedar Falls, IA, Brian (Jolene) Beitzel of Robins, IA, and Christopher (Jenny) Beitzel of Epworth, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her maternal grandparents, Irene and Melvin Casey, paternal grandparents, John and Dorothy Beitzel, many uncles, and special friend, Mary Roling.
