Obituary

Linda F. Roe, 79, of Cascade, Iowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Luther Manor Care Center in Dubuque, Iowa.

Visitation for Linda will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa, where a rosary will be held at 3:30 p.m.  Visitation will also be held after 9 a.m. on day at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian burial for Linda will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa with Rev. Mark Osterhaus presiding.  Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Temple Hill, Iowa.

Linda was born on October 22, 1945, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Ervin and Marguerite (Miller) Berger.  She was a graduate of Walhert High School in Dubuque, Iowa.  She was united in marriage to Lee J. Roe Sr. on December 16, 1965, in Scott County, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on November 23, 1986.

She worked for a Dispatcher for the City of Cascade, and later worked as a realtor.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed time with her family.  She also loved country music, cross stitch, and playing card games.

Linda was a member of the St. Peter's parish in Temple Hill, Iowa.

She is survived by her three children, Lee (Marci) Roe Jr. of Cascade, Daniel Roe of Bernard, and Doreen Roe of Cedar Rapids; 8 grandchildren, Lee "LJ" (Becca) Roe III of Des Moines, Nathan (Chelsee) Roe of Worthington, Dylan (Rachel) Roe of Cascade, Garrett (Alisha) Roe of Cascade, and Ryan Roe of Bernard, Steven Siegel of Cedar Rapids, Karen Lynn (Wade) Letter of Wausau, WI,  and Christofer Perkins of Greensville, N.C.; 12 great grandchildren with two more on the way; and one sister, Delores McCarthy of Dubuque.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; five siblings, Lenore Kubesheski, Kathleen Dittmar, Robert Berger, Susan Berger, and Ervin Berger Jr.
