Lois Jasper, 87, of Peosta, Iowa died peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Dubuque Specialty Care in Dubuque, Iowa.

Lois was born March 29, 1934, in Dyersville, Iowa, daughter of Alfred and Malvina (Bonert) Offermann. She received her education the Worthington, Iowa. On December 29, 1953, she was united in marriage to James Jasper at Basilica St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Dyersville, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2007.

She was a member of St. Patrick's parish in Epworth, Iowa.

She is survived by six children, Dave (Bev) Jasper of Bernard, IA, Becky (Ted) Simpson of Pecatonica, IL, LuAnn (Rick) Kauffmann of Farley, Sandy (Doug) Konrardy of Dubuque, Dan (Darla) Jasper, and Joyce (Ron) Massey both of Epworth; grandchildren; great grandchildren; one sister, Theresa Merkes of Dubuque; four sisters-in-law, Doris M. Offermann of Earlville, Doris A. Offermann of New Vienna, Sr. Mary Karen Jasper PVBM of Dubuque, and Mary Smith of Key West, IA.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; two children, Steve and Jean Jasper; one sister, Norma (William) Stevens; two brothers, Leon Offermann, and Ernst Offermann; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Al Merkes, John Jasper in infancy, Sr. Mary Philip Jasper, PBVM, LeRoy (Betty) Jasper, Lois (Joseph) Hoeger, Rita (Gerald) Schwendinger, and Orland Smith.
