Lucille A. Bonk, 78, of Bernard, Iowa transition onto her next part of life on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Mercy One in Dubuque, Iowa.

A Celebration of life for Lucille will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Leisure Lake (Rural Bernard), Iowa at Steve Strubs place.

Lucille was born on December 31, 1943, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth (Hass) Brockman.  She was united in marriage to Leonard Bonk, on February 14, 1995, in Dubuque, Iowa.

Lucille was a very free-spirited person, who loved traveling around in her Volkswagen Van following the Grateful Dead.  She also enjoyed sipping on wine and watching Sci-fi shows.  She was also a woman full of love for everyone, but especially her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by husband Leonard Bonk of Bernard; four children, Elizabeth Buckreis of Fontana, CA, Howard Lee Walker of Bernard, Jackie Jean Walker of Maquoketa, and Ralph Douglas (Hazel) Walker of Redlands, CA; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Suzie) Brockman of Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a son-in-law, Ed Buckreis.
