Madonna T. "Donna" Krapfl, 85, of Dyersville, Iowa, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 10:40 p.m. at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa.

Friends and relatives of Donna may call from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Reiff Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa where a wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Friends may also call after 9 a.m. on Monday at the Reiff Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial for Donna will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Basilica St. Francis Xavier in Dyersville, Iowa, with Rev. Dennis Quint presiding. Burial will be held in St. Francis Cemetery in Dyersville, Iowa.

Donna was born on October 3, 1931, in Dyersville, Iowa, daughter of Emil and Martha (Kramer) Esch. She was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier High School in Dyersville, IA. She was united in marriage to Merle Krapfl on June 30, 1952 at Basilica St. Francis Xavier in Dyersville, IA.

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Dyersville, Iowa. Donna was a 4H Leader and a member of the Dyersville Merry Maids for many years. She loved to cook, fish, camp and tend to her flower gardens. She enjoyed attending sporting events for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Merle Krapfl of Dyersville, IA, four children, Gary Krapfl of Dyersville, IA, David (Kathy) Krapfl of Geneseo, IL, Dan Krapfl of Dyersville, IA and Ann Fessler of Durango, IA; 8 grandchildren; one sister, Julie White of Maquoketa, IA; one brother-in-law, Phil Manternach of Cascade, IA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son-in-law, Mike Fessler; four sisters, Kay Ament, Mary Williamson, Patricia Billmeyer and Ellen Manternach; one brother, Nick Esch.
