Mary Jo was born April 28, 1947 in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Joseph and Mary Theresa (Kotz) Burns. She is a proud graduate of St. Paul’s Catholic High school in Worthington, Iowa.

She met the love of her life at a dance and on August 21, 1971 she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Pasker at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Worthington. Together, they farmed, where they worked side by side while raising their family and building a lifetime of memories. She treasured time spent with her sister, Julie, especially their shopping trips. Some of her favorite past times included, decorating for the holidays, tending to the garden and making crafts. She enjoyed time with friends, old and new traveling on bus trips, visiting local wineries, card nights and listening to music at events. Above all, she loved being present for her grandchildren, attending their schools events, recitals, and other special occasions, always taking pride in their accomplishments. Her faith was an important part of her life, she held a special belief that cardinals were a sign from heaven, and a reminder of loved ones watching over us.

She is survived by her husband, William Pasker of Dyersville, Iowa; three children, Paula (Joe) Petsche of Dyersville, IA, twin sons, Tim (Kerry) Pasker of Manchester, IA and Tom Pasker (Jackson Adams) of Evanston, IL; seven grandchildren, Teresa, Sara, and Vanessa Petsche; Gwenith, Kyle, Anna and Jude Pasker; one sister, Julie (Dave) Kurt of Cascade, IA; her brother and sister in laws, Rita and Jerald Klostermann of Bankston, IA, Mary Lou and Ed Burlage of Dyersville, IA, Jim Bildstein of Petersburg, IA and Charles and Peggy Pasker of LaFarge, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Burns; a sister-in-law, Doris Bildstein; and her beloved dog Lulu.
