Maurna J. O'Brien, 92 Cascade, Iowa passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at

Accura Healthcare in Cascade, Iowa.

The family will greet people from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fillmore, IA, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., with Rev. Michael Schueller Presiding.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fillmore, Iowa.  The Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born May 3, 1933, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter Leo D. and Loretta V. (Coakley) Noonan.  On April 21, 1956 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, George O'Brien at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Garryowen, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on February 24, 1981.

She was employed at Security State Bank in Cascade for over 33 years, until her retirement.  She loved to play cards, especially Bridge.  She enjoyed her shopping sprees with her friends, spending time with family and friends just visiting.   She was a very faith filled woman, she was kind to all and a absolute wonderful wife, mother and aunt.  She was very proud of her Irish Heritage.

She was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade, Iowa.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, and her only son, Tim O'Brien on December 13, 1999.
