Norman C. "Coosie" Kremer, 82, of Cascade, Iowa, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Unity Point Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.

Visitation for Coosie will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa, where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m.  Visitation will also continue after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian burial for Coosie will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa with Rev. Mark Osterhaus presiding.  Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Cascade, Iowa.

He was born January 25, 1942, in LaMotte, Iowa, son of Arnold P. and Veronica C. (Weisler) Kremer.  On April 16, 1966, he was united in marriage to Judith Ann Wolfe at the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa.  He served in the National Guard for 6 years.

He was employed at the Dubuque Packing Company and Monastery Farms before his marriage.  He then worked at Besler Construction and Ready Mix for over 25 years and lastly at Bard Materials for 29 years, until his retirement in 2013.

Coosie was a friend to all and never turned down an opportunity to help anyone.  His wife called him a "social butterfly."  His needs were always backseat to his family and friends.  Even when his heart began to grow weak, he slowed down but did not stop.  He always had an answer to every problem brought to him.  He worked hard, physical jobs to give his wife and kids a wonderful home and life,  Once the grandkids started coming, his focus switched to them.  All ten were the apples of his eye and were his sunshine.  He looked forward to family gatherings, concerts, games and anytime he could tell someone…"That's MY grandchild!"

His legacy, values, love for family and work ethics will live on through all.

He is survived by his wife, Judith "Judy" Kremer of Cascade, Iowa; five children, Karla (Dave) Jokiel and Kelli (Gene) Blum both of Asbury, Kristi (Kevin) Klawitter of Waconia, MN, Randy (Kelly) Kremer of Fairfax, and Ryan (Mary) Kremer of Marion; ten grandchildren; Noah Kremer of Chicago, IL, Alex Klawitter of Shakopee, MN, Tyler Jokiel of Cedar Falls, Nic Kremer of Des Moines, Tara Jokiel of Asbury, Morgan Kremer of Marion, Olivia Kremer of Fairfax, Andrew Klawitter of Waconia, MN, Kinnick Kremer of Marion and Sarah Blum of Asbury; three brothers, Leonard and Roger (Nita) Kremer both of Dubuque, Willard (Barb) Kremer of Bernard; two sisters, Joyce (Gene) Lochner of KeyWest, and Doris (Alan) Kramer of Epworth; two brothers-in-laws, Jim Pfab of ElPaso, IL and Bob Langel of Dubuque, one sister-in-law, Rose Marie Kremer of Dubuque; and one brother-in-law, Steve (Vicki) Wolfe of Mason City.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Julien Kremer, Arnold (Joann) Kremer Jr., Earl "Pete" Kremer and two sisters in infancy, Grace and Mary Catherine; three sisters, Darlene (Jim) Reuter, Linda Pfab, Judi Langel; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kremer; two brothers-in-laws, Gary "Baldy" Wolfe and Charles "Chuck" Neyens; and two sisters-in-laws, Patti (Gary) Fortney and Lori "Pris" Koppes.
