Obituary

Richard J. Willenbring, 80, of Luxemburg, Iowa died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital Guttenberg, Iowa.

Private Family Services for Richard will be held from 2 to 4p.m. on Sunday October 9th, 2016 at Reiff Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa, where services for Richard will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Noah Diehm officiating.

He was born March 2, 1936 at Dyersville, Iowa, son of Sylvester and Evelyn (Digmann) Willenbring. He received his education from Luxemburg School. Richard farmed with his brothers all of his life in the Luxemburg area. He served in the Army, and was stationed in Germany. On June 11, 1985 he was united in marriage to Donna Kieffer Miller, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa.

He is a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Willenbring of Luxemburg, IA; two children, Tim Miller of Dyersville, IA, and Carla Miller (Shawn Freese)of Monticello, IA; three granddaughters Jamie (Ryan) Wurtele of New Hall, IA; Nicole and Brooklyn Stark of Monticello, IA; two step-grandsons Tyler (Bailey) Freese,of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Jared Freese of Cedar Rapids, IA; three great grandchildren Kayden and Cheyenne Wurtele, and Allis Freese; three sisters, Marlene (Ray) Schlarmann of Worthington, IA, , Dianne (Bill) Ernzen of Dyersville, IA, Gloria Maiers of Dyersville, IA; three sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Joe) Willenbring of Luxemburg, IA, Elaine Willenbring of Luxemburg, IA and Helen Arthur of Manchester, IA; two brothers- in-law, Don (Kathy) Tegler of Dyersville, IA and Ralph (Sue) Kieffer of Dubuque,IA and many neices and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-Daniel and Dennis Willenbring; one sister, Patricia Tegler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael Arthur, Eldon (Boots) Kieffer, Kay (Jerry) Manders, and Wayne Ehrich.
