Rochelle M. Reyes-Ernzen, 64, of Asbury, Iowa passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at her home in Asbury, Iowa, after a courageous battle with cancer.
A visitation for Rochelle will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Peosta, Iowa. Visitation will also be held after 10:00 a.m., on Friday, March 8, 2024, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa.
Services for Rochelle will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, March 8, 2024, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa, with Rev. Dennis Quint presiding. Burial will be held in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa.
She was born April 14, 1959, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Raymond and Irma (Eik) Reyes. She graduated from Senior High School in Dubuque. She was employed at Dollar Tree in Dubuque, Iowa for 21 years.
Rochelle was a devoted mother and grandmother, who truly adored spending time with her children and grandson. She was an avid Dubuque Fighting Saints and Country Music fan; she attended many hockey games and BINGO nights with family and friends. Rochelle was also able to take a trip to Nashville, Tennessee with her children last year and visit the Country Music Hall of Fame. She also enjoyed Christmas as she loved giving to others, and her Spaghetti Dinners with family.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Parish in Dubuque, Iowa.
She is survived by two children, Heather Ernzen and Tyler Ernzen (& fiancé, Autumn Becker) both of Asbury, IA; one grandson, Ozzie Ernzen; one sister, Carmen (Duane) Bries of Dubuque, one stepsister, Janet Reyes of Davenport; one stepbrother, Mike Reyes of Davenport.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Powers, Nurses and Staff at Hospice of Dubuque, Sandy Ronek, Colleen Ronek, Shawn Ronek, Matt Bries, Jennifer Bries, and Stacey Heber for all the loving care and support they gave to Rochelle.
She is preceded in death by her parents; stepsister-in-law, Barb Reyes.
