Ryder James Mendelke, son of Nicholas and Anne (McDermott) Mendelke was born and called home on Friday, March 22, 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Services for Ryder will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa, with Deacon Ray Noonan Jr. and Rev. Joseph Mcdermott, presiding. Friends and relatives may call from 11:00 a.m. until services at the funeral home.

He is survived by his parents, Nicholas and Anne Mendelke of Nashville, TN (Anne is formerly of Cascade, Iowa); his maternal grandparents, Linus and Shirley McDermott of Cascade, IA; his paternal grandmother, Julie Mendelke of Chicago, IL; his maternal great grandmother, Helen Laban of Bernard, IA and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George Mendelke.

The family is requesting no flowers.  A Ryder J. Mendelke memorial fund has been established.
