Shirley M. Schuster, 93 , of Cascade, IA, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024  at Accura Health Care in Cascade, Iowa surrounded by her family.

In accordance with Shirley's request there will be no public visitation or services.  A private burial will be held in Dubuque Memorial Garden in Key West, Iowa.  The Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born August 12, 1930 in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Ralph and Julia (Hanfelt) Schmitt.    On September 17, 1949 she was united in marriage to Raymond P. Schuster in Dubuque County.  She loved her family and spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Shirley enjoyed her occasional glass of wine and never missed her daily dose of cheesecake.  She was a social butterfly with a charismatic personality.  She will be missed by all she met.

She is survived by two sons Kevin (Deb) Schuster of Evansdale, IA and Michael Schuster of Green Valley, AZ; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Robin) Schuster of Belleville, IL, Brooke (Lee) Kremer of Cascade, IA, DeEtta (Nathan) Bode of Cascade, IA and Carolanne (Carlton) Nebergall of New Vienna, IA; and 10 great grandchildren, Wyatt Kremer, Lane Kremer, Sawyer Kremer, Zach Schuster, Brendan Schuster, McKenna Harris, Adrian Bode, Jack Bode, Addy Nebergall and Theodore Nebergall.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raymond Schuster on September 20, 1998; a daughter, Judith Meyers; and her father and mother-in-law, John and Mary (Wendler) Schuster.
