Stephen J. Kleitsch, 68, of Marion, Iowa and formerly of Cascade, Iowa passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at 7:40 p.m. at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade, Iowa.
Friends may call after 8:30 Monday, November 13, 2017 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade. The Reiff Funeral Home of Cascade, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
Services for Stephen will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 13, 2017 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa, with Rev. Douglas Loecke Presiding. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Cascade, Iowa.
He was born March 14, 1949 in Monticello, Iowa, son of Edwin and Dolores (Rogers) Kleitsch. He is an graduate of the former Aquin High School in Cascade, Iowa. He is an Navy Veteran, having served at the US Naval Air Station in Guam from 1969 to 1971. He was employed at Home Depot in Cedar Rapids for 15 years.
Steve was a wonderful loving friends to his family and co-workers who thought the world of him. He loved his morning coffee, Chicago Bears, NASCAR, Iowa Hawkeye's and occasionally a golf game with his dad. He will be sadly missed by all those who loved him dearly.
He was a member of the Cascade Knights of Columbus-Council #2001.
He is survived by his father, Edwin Kleitsch of Cascade, IA; three brothers, Dave (Judy) Kleitsch of Cascade, IA, Marv (Deb) Kleitsch of Monticello, IA and Gary (Terri) Kleitsch of Cascade, IA; two step-children, Danny Figueroa of Dyersville, IA and Vanessa Figueroa of Muscatine, IA and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Kleitsch on November 16, 2005; and one sister, Sharon Kleitsch in 1954; and a niece, Kimberly Kleitsch in 1980.
