Virginia M. Young, 85, of Epworth, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at her home in Epworth, Iowa.

Visitation for Virginia will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, Iowa.  Visitation will also be held after 9 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Services for Virginia will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, Iowa with Pastor Annie Walker presiding.  Burial will be held in Dubuque Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Key West, Iowa.

Virginia was born January 18, 1938, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Stanley and Wreathal (Pate) Sefzik.  She was a 1956 graduate of Epworth High School in Epworth, Iowa.  She owned and operated The Bobcat restaurant in Epworth. On February 10, 1989 she was united in marriage to Wayne Young in Mesa, Arizona.  Wayne preceded her in death on October 24, 2013.

She is survived by her four children, Ken (friend, Patti Ryan) Mueller of Key West, IA, Don (Sandra) Mueller of Epworth, IA, Dale (Beverly) Mueller of Key West, IA, Sharon (Jim) Meyer of Epworth, IA; nine grandchildren, Evan (Molly) Mueller, Jared (friend, Kelsey Callahan), Holly and Hannah Mueller, Tanner (friend, Ashley Chester) Meyer, MacKenzie (Kody) Kutsch, Kalli (Eric) Jahnke, Macy (friend, Ryan Kramer) Meyer, Ella (friend, Davis Stelzer) Meyer; five great grandchildren, Cal, Murphy, Remmington, Walter, Ginny, and one on the way in February.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Morgan Mueller.

In lieu of flowers a Virginia Young memorial fund has been established.
